Michael Bruce
Founder & Executive Director
A lifelong activist-advocate, Michael has been pushing rocks uphill since standing on picket lines in Canada. He has 14 years’ field experience working with humanitarian, development and rights-based NGOs in Africa, the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia. He loves Elvis Presley, Star Wars, and belt buckles.

Kate McGrane
Director of Programmes & Partnerships
Kate McGrane, has eighteen years of experience leading humanitarian programmes and policy development in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining the PRIDE Centre, Kate worked for humanitarian and development International NGOs, and the Government of Ireland. When she’s not working, she loves to play the drums and consume as much ice-cream as socially acceptable.

Clare Brown
Legal Advocacy Advisor
Clare Brown is an international human rights lawyer and activist with 13 years of experience across Africa and the Middle East. She is experienced in both working with and representing marginalised groups, and advising governments and non-governmental entities on compliance with human rights laws and standards. Her other primary interests include glitter and cheese boards.

Aska Okeyo

Aska Okeyo is a human rights lawyer with over 7 years of experience advocating for social justice, the rule of law and human rights issues across East and Southern Africa. From the frontlines of refugee camps to global advocacy spaces, she has experience working in programs that amplify the voices of marginalised groups and providing strategic advice to governments and non-governmental actors on strengthening rights-based systems. Her superpower? Falling asleep anywhere, anytime, in under five minutes. She would bring home gold if there were ever Sleep Olympics.

Safa Bouzidi
Finance Coordinator
Safa Bouzidi is a Finance Coordinator with over seven years of experience in the non-profit sector. She has worked with international organizations such as Oxfam and the International Legal Foundation, supporting projects focused on gender justice, legal aid, and civic engagement. Her expertise includes budget and grants management, donor compliance, financial reporting, and partner support. Safa is fluent in Arabic, English, and French and is passionate about promoting transparency and inclusive development.
